About Tamar Kitiashvili
Tamar currently works with UNDP Georgia as an advisor to Vocational Education and Training and leads the UNDP/SDC supported components related to work-based learning, adult education, VET governance, education system permeability, entrepreneurial vocational education etc. Before joining the UNDP team Tamar was heading the VET department at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia starting from 2013, supporting the new VET strategy implementation. Tamar joined the Ministry with a broad experience of working on leading positions in private sector, including the private training center. Currently Tamar is heading the National Authorization Board of VET institutions and programs, an independent body appointed by Prime Minister of Georgia. Tamar is certified adult trainer and experienced as a VET teacher.
